It
is difficult to get to this remote place, because there is no international airport on the island. Dominica only has two domestic airports: Canefield (near Roseau) and Melville Hall ( eastcoast).
The most reasonable flight connections are via Antigua, St Lucia,
Guadeloupe, Martinique or Barbados. From there, those who want to be on the safe side take LIAT (several flights daily) to Dominica Melville Hall.
. Those who like it adventurous can take smaller airlines which also fly to Melville Hall (DOM) as well as to Canefield (DCF). Then you can take a taxi to your hotel or rent a car directly at the airport. The drivetime from Melville Hall to Roseau takes about 1,5 hours.
There is also a possibility to take an express-ferry from Guadeloupe, Martinique or St. Lucia to Roseau. The departure times can be found in the local press.
