Since November 1999 the Lauro-Club is under the management of Erika and Ambert
Joseph. Ambert is dominican and his wife Erika is german (both speak german and english fluently). They are definately the best hosts we ever met
on our various trips. Not only that they are excellent cooks, offering local and international cuisine, they also make you feel “at home” right from the beginning.

The cottages of the Lauro-Club are situated in three rows on the steep coast. Due to this slopelocation you have a very good view of the ocean from each cottage. The first row is about five meters away from the precipice so if you fall from the porch you will land gently but firmly about ten meters deeper in the sea. Therefore, if
available choose the first row!All cottages in the first and second row are similar.. There is a livingroom with a folding bed, a sleepingroom, a bathroom with shower/WC and a big covered porch with a kitchenette. Cottages in the third row
don’t have a livingroom, but the rest is the same.
There is a ledge at the foot of the cliff, which can be reached via a wooden staircase from the pool of Lauro-Club, and offers enough possibilities for sunbathing, swimming and snorkeling. This ledge can only be seen from the sea.
Lauro-Club has got a big freshwater swimmingpool, which is located at the steep coast, so that you can see the ocean while swimming.
In the evening you can meet people at the bar or restaurant which are
partly covered. Friday is a BBQ-day with selfmade salads, sauces, chicken, lobster and fresh-fresh baracuda! The food at the restaurant is delicious (a` la carte), especially if you can
encourage Ambert and
Erika to cook local dishes for you.
Unfortunately this hotel was closed, but for all, who know this fantastic spot, something to dream.
