On the way to The Boiling Lake you inevitably  pass the Valley of Desolation, if you are going the right way, of course.
You walk through it with a feeling of discomfort because this place appears unreal and makes you feel small and very weak. On the other side you start to respect the power of nature and your own ego shrinks to a standard. Nonetheless, the Valley of Desolation is a very impressive place and  “a must” for every nature-lover. By the way,  if you can manage to walk to the Valley of Desolation , the last 45 minutes from there to the Boiling Lake are not worth mentioning anymore.
